Hi, all! I haven't been on the forum for a long time; nice to see the old familiar folks are still here. Nothing very exciting to report. I still have my 9 turtles and 2 tortoises, plus my cockatiel Tinkerbell.

Tinker has become VERY spoiled and has me trained pretty well. She's very quiet in the mornings until I wake up. Once she hears my footsteps, she starts chirping and won't stop until I uncover her and open her cage door. As long as I'm at home, she's free to fly around the house. She doesn't like it if I go into another room where she can't see me, so she flies around until she finds me and proceeds to land on my head. She loves to sit on my hand while I'm at the computer but tries to bite my fingers when I type, so I've learned to type with one hand pretty well. I don't let her sit on my shoulder because she chews on my hair and ties it in such tight knots that I have to cut them out! We watch videos of pet birds on You Tube together, and she chirps along with them. (Have you bird folks seen the videos of Frosty the dancing cockatoo? So funny!)

The boxies have slowed down for the winter and spend a lot of time sleeping. The tortoises are still eating well, but miss the clovers, violets, and dandelions that they munch on in the yard during the summer. The crazy water turtles are just as hyperactive as usual; they could care less whether it's January or June.

I haven't been doing anything very exciting. I had joined an a capella singing group (think "Glee" but with people who are a little older, LOL), but it disbanded for the time being because many of the folks didn't want to commit to coming to weekly practices. I miss it a lot.

We haven't had much snow up here in Ohio so far this winter. We had a snowstorm last week that dropped about 5 inches on us, but a couple days later the temps went up into the 40's with rain, and everything melted. Now just a lot of mud and slop.

It's nice to be back here! Looking forward to chatting with everyone again.
